I bought us because I thought the picture would take up the same space as my normal peephole. It's not like this. The peep hole couldn't see the ground I want to cover which is about 15 feet. I have a closed apartment door in the hallway. With my original eye hole I can see everything around 180° or so. I need to fit a motion detector, which had to be mounted with a frame right on the eye hole. I personally don't want to edit frames because it shows what I have and I really want to capture people. Using the original eye hole does not improve the situation, because the magnification adjustment can blur the image and cannot produce a clear image. Don't even try.
