Review on Lowrance 000 0120 37 Yamaha Engine Interface by Norlan Pippinmd

Buy THIS as an alternative to the Yamaha CommandLINK system

Bought a 16 year old (25 foot) pontoon boat with a Yamaha F150 outboard. My boat has analog dials on the dashboard but I wanted to install a SIMRAD GO7 fish finder/GPS that can be hooked up to the engine. THIS interface cable works great and allows me to view all the engine data I want on SIMRAD (engine hours, suction, engine temp, oil pressure, etc.). DO NOT LET Yamaha talk you into using their CommandLINK system or whatever it is called (too expensive). All you need is this interface cable that connects to the NMEA trunk or starter kit (model 124-69 on Amazon, found here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002BBFE98/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_13 ) connected. After that you can connect your NMEA trunk. to almost any GPS/Fish Finder you have. I bought a SIMRAD GPS/Fishfinder which is much larger than I need on a pontoon boat but it works fine with all Lowrance cables. Bonus points for the optional T-connector. There are never too many of these!

Pros
  • Heavy Duty
Cons
  • Was damaged
