I have been using reptile rugs for a long time because of health problems in my lizard. This rug is just as good as the others but a little cheaper than some brands. They come in many different sizes including a very large size that is perfect for my large terrarium. I had to cut it to fit in 3 pieces, but it's very easy to cut with a utility knife. This is very easy to apply to your terrarium and can last many months before you need to buy a new one. I wash mine every few weeks as soon as it gets really dirty, but I always remove my lizard's droppings. Some time after you just rinse it off, you will find that it will start smelling and then you will have to buy a new one. The only downside is that once you've hardened the poo on the carpet, it's difficult to scoop it out and sometimes you have to scrub it out when cleaning. If you stay on top of the tail this shouldn't be a problem. This is an easier to use bedding but also cleaner if you are concerned about your reptile/amphibian's health issues. It doesn't allow burrowing and sometimes my lizard goes under the carpet. It is a personal preference to use a rug like this, but if you do I recommend this brand.
