I bought two strut bearings, one of them broke right after a year of use (approx. 24,000 km) but just after the warranty expired Period. This is what I installed on the left (driver's side). You can use this bracket from both sides. OEM brackets are important for left or right side panels, as opposed to aftermarket. The Chrysler/Dodges that this part fits on is likely failing the non-genuine bracket you install on the right (passenger) side. Well, I came to the opposite conclusion. The one I installed on the right gave me no problems. The left bracket created excessive up/down play and made crazy clanking noises, very annoying. I replaced it with a new one from a different manufacturer (well, there are few manufacturers, but there are a lot of part re-labeling) and the problem is gone. I hope the other mount lasts much longer otherwise I will be very disappointed. The only good thing about all of this is that I have a lifetime certificate of alignment from the national shop so I don't have to pay for alignment if more mounts fail. Yes I could buy a part from a dealer for 2-3 times the price but I can't justify such expensive parts for a 12+ year old car that could die sooner rather than later from other causes/problems. PS: No issues with the saddle, bearings or the post itself. The KYB did great with that, especially the racks, love them! In any case, they should extend the warranty on the dome bearings to 2 years, just like that. When replacing from another manufacturer, the warranty is 2 years.
