So yes I can get this from the Tesla website for $500. But everything I order on their website takes weeks to arrive. I love this company and I love the car but I hate ordering from their website it's just SOOOOO slow. So I figured $60 was a convenience tax and I paid it and it was delivered in two days. This is a factory sealed box and it works perfectly and I have no regrets because I needed a charger and my electrician was available and now I can charge my new model 3 at 48 amps and that adds 44 miles every hour. If you have a Tesla vehicle, any model, single or dual on-board chargers, standard or high-capacity batteries, this is the charger you need, no matter what Tesla says. There is a button on the handle that opens the charging port in the car. Once installed, the charger will self-adjust to determine the available power depending on the installation, automatically ensuring correct use of your vehicle. You just plug your car in and it charges. If you have a non-Tesla brand car, this will NOT work for you. No adapter available. It won't work, so don't even waste your time and money.
