I will say that with this light you are very visible to motorists due to the very wide beam. However, because of this, the beam does not focus at all and emits a very wide light at a short distance. So if you're driving very dark trails, this light probably won't work as it only provides light about 10-15 feet in front of you (and on either side!) of you. In the end I got something different, brighter and more focused. I'll say the best part is that it's designed to be worn over a helmet using one of the mounts that come with it. Most bike lights are designed for handlebar mounting only.
