I'm using an older computer and my old CD burner is broken. I bought it because it is USB 1.0 compatible and also upgradeable. The problem with this product is that the software is pretty weak compared to some of the best programs out there. Otherwise it's a good product at a good price. Someone once told me that any CD burner will fail within 2 years of regular use. So far it looks more or less correct. If you are looking for it in the market, go for an external CD burner and choose one that is NOT TOO expensive. Also, as is the case with most technology these days, in a few months there will be a better way for less money.
