Review on RSVP Deluxe Corn Stripper SHUCK by Melissa Gonzalez

I really enjoyed ordering and trying this product. Ouch! What a disappointment as it turned out. The first thing I noticed upon opening the package was that it looked like it was a "return". The box was badly dented and not sealed with tape like a new product. The two things I found most difficult when attempting to use RSVP were: press the metal blade against the corn, particularly the end of the cob, and try to squeeze the yellow cob to push the cob out. I'm well into my 50's and it's been terribly hard for me to pull out that stupid corn on the cob every time. If a person only had four to six ears of corn that would be fine, but if you have a large corn crop I would not recommend this product. Also, I have a feeling the item was defective due to the pistons not wanting to stick to the tiny prongs underneath. It continued to fall sideways, preventing the metal pipe from going over it properly. I had to break the stalks of the corn just so the corn cob could sit on those tines. Breaking off 500 stalks of corn seemed too difficult, so I took my electric knife and slashed through the kernels like a hot knife through butter. In conclusion, BUYER ATTENTION: This item CANNOT be returned, which upsets me greatly as it did not fit me. booooo. Two stars. This is a Revain Choice product so I assumed Revain would endorse it. I was wrong. Revain may not affix the Revain Choice label to products that do not have a return policy.
