Review on 16-Pack Concealed Cabinet Hinges - Hidden Frameless Surface Mount 90 Degree Easy Installation For Cabinet Doors by Gary Hall

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easy to use - here is what you (and I) we’re doing wrong - I figured it out!

First off - Works on old 1960s cabinets to transform from outside hinges (the ones you can see when the cabinets are closed) to concealed hinges - notes below:Few things that I learned that I wish I was able to find in the Ebay reviews:— this is the ONLY concealed hinge that would work with old cabinet doors that have the rabbeted edge (see pictures - the way that it has the weird lip on the edge of the cabinet ) this one works because it pushes the door out slightly (but it doesn’t look weird) when it opens it so the extra overlay doesn’t catch and rub the built in part of the cabinet!— the reason everyone is having a hard time trying to make the hinges close is because you’re trying to close it in the wrong direction! - I did it too! - see picture - PS - watch your fingers because it goes fast!— if your cabinet frame only has a thin piece of wood to connect the hinge to then you are going to have to add the extra piece of wood or MDF so that the hinge is full supported— only con is that it does close and open not like other cabinets because of the fact that it is a hydraulic hingeOverall very satisfied as I tried a bunch of other concealed hinges that would work on the rabbited cabinet doors

Pros
  • Just as described and works perfectly
Cons
  • The hinges may not be durable and wear out quickly
