Review on EPAUTO 45 Piece 3/8 Inch Drive Socket Set with 72-Tooth Pear Head Ratchet Kit by Radney Taala

This is a great $30 solution. It's made in Taiwan and the metric sizes are a great fit (SAE sizes are not needed yet). The tool set weighs about 7.5 pounds and I particularly like the knurling on the extensions and the fact that it includes a universal joint. The dimensions of the nests are deeply and clearly stamped. It doesn't matter if you're 20, but when you turn 40 your eyes will thank you. In the picture, the EPAuto bushing is on the right (the laser-etched Gearwrench bushing is on the left for comparison). Great trunk storage kit for roadside repairs. The only thing I would change is a longer ratchet (an 8" ratchet would still fit in the same toolbox) with a lower profile head. A small knurled ring around the rosettes also helps with oily hands. Other similar sets (same size ratchet and heads) sell for 50% more but I think this one will hold up just as well as these and the price couldn't be higher. Update (8/18/21): Have used this regularly for the last 3 years (including SAE sockets) and it's holding up great. In fact, even the sockets still look the same as the day I bought this set. Even though the price has gone up, it's still a good buy compared to similar kits (Example: Tekton 3/8" kit). Definitely recommend again.
