I've been watching them for over a year. The postman left them, I took them straight to the garage and opened them. I found a small set screw that I had to remove. Insert the Wera, twist it, and the Wera will instantly detach from Allen's head. I used decent force, but nothing that would cause a regular allen wrench to pop out or bend. After my disgust I put my old Craftsman in the same hole and he knocked Allen unconscious. The next problem is that since Wera has a round shank, unlike most allen wrenches, you can't just cut off a piece to get a branded allen wrench. I went online and read the fine print about the warranty and the L-wrenches are considered expendable by them and not covered by the warranty. You can't just buy what you need either. They hide their phone number (never found) so they can't be contacted about this. I googled my problems and read a lot of comments from frustrated people on different forums so I just returned it and exchanged it. UPDATE 2021 I've been using them for a few years now and haven't had any failures. These are the best hex keys that don't need to be removed. I bought a full hex body instead of the round ones in the SAE version, in case they break you can just cut them shorter but it's not necessary. I still use round cases in Metrica and they are fine. Maybe I'm just stupid.
