🔧 Wera 950 Spkl/9 Sm N Multicolor L-Key Set, Metric, Blacklaser Coating, 9-Piece Kit Review

I bought it in December 2015. These hex wrenches have served me well, one of the best purchases I have ever made. I'm a cyclist so they are always on hand to install/remove/adjust various parts. When I need to assemble an Ikea-style piece of furniture (like I've been doing for the past few days setting up a desk and chair for working from home), they're a lot better than the crappy little wrench that comes with the kit. .

Business owner and Allen wrenches are the most used tools in my bag so I looked for the best I could find. I have chosen both the metric and imperial Wera sets and they are definitely the best I have ever used. Strong, comfortable grip and very hard steel. They believe they will stand the test of time. I had a question, as soon as I received it Wera emailed them from their website and within hours received an email not only answering my question but going out of their way to help!

Great key set. I like the grip on this one. I feel so much better in my hands using it. Regular hex wrenches can be finicky when using the ball end as I twist the wrench in a hex pattern. The larger outside diameter on the wrench body with the wrap makes it very handy. This is particularly common with 2.5mm, 2mm and 1.5mm keys. The larger outer diameter ensures a more stable use. These devices are definitely a bit more expensive, but they live up to the high quality standards of the name. They have some very unique and helpful tips, the design is amazing, they work flawlessly, even on bulkheads, better than a little messed up. They have a nice hard plastic cover on the main body of the instrument with their size and name that feels very comfortable in the hand rather than having some nice sharp edges on your palm. I've been watching them for over a year. The postman left them, I took them straight to the garage and opened them. I found a small set screw that I had to remove. Insert the Wera, twist it, and the Wera will instantly detach from Allen's head. I used decent force, but nothing that would cause a regular allen wrench to pop out or bend. UPDATE: I am downgrading these stars from 3 to 1 star. They rust *very* easily within minutes of contact with water. I took them out in very light rain and in less than 30 minutes rust spots appeared on the surface of all the tools. Tired of crappy hex keys, I saw them on the toolguyd page. His reviews are usually accurate, so I went ahead and ordered a set. The price wasn't cheap, but I was tired of rounding hex heads enough to turn them into homemade security bolts, especially when working on my bikes. I had a negative impression at first when I saw how disproportionately long the keys were, over 5mm long. They are crazy, unnecessary, uncomfortable, long. So I cut off that side of the holder and decided to keep my 6mm, 8mm and 10mm Bondhus in my bag because I don't need them that often.
