work better than I could have imagined after a rough start. The item was damaged in transit. It looked crushed so obviously not the seller's fault. They immediately sent a replacement. also replied very quickly. The hub performs incredibly well compared to others, as does with side-by-side ports. They usually cause interference and the signals cross over. I usually saw mice drifting slowly in random directions, if there was a power source nearby I expected similar oddities. This hub showed no such problems at all. it withstood the charging current of 2 phones without significant overheating. I did this with a flash drive plugged in as a stress test and after 6 hours the drive still wouldn't unmount. very satisfied. Solder joints must be very good. I need a USB2 hub because I have several wireless peripherals, 2.4 WiFi, an intercom, our cordless phone, and even a microwave oven within a 15 foot radius. I'm happy to report that nothing was noticeably disruptive to this hub and nothing seems to suffer from its presence. As soon as I dared to connect a USB3 hard drive, the reception naturally deteriorated nearby. Hooking up a mouse receiver next to it was pathetic comedy. This is to be expected from ANY hub, and compared to other hubs, it performed as well as, maybe better than, other inexpensive unshielded hubs. turned out great. You would pay 10x for a small improvement. Or just don't connect 3.0 drives to your hubs. I prefer this solution. interesting note: since my first hub ripped in transit, I removed the broken shroud and noticed that without the shroud, I could pop them side by side without touching.
