Review on πŸ”’ Secure Your Garmin Devices with the Garmin Backpack Tether Accessory by Eric Hartman

The toggle switch breaks easily and the cable is cheap junk!

Zip ties and cups - shit! The cable has a latch that allows the harness to be shortened or lengthened and when it arrived the latch in the box was broken. The box was not damaged. Returned, bought from another seller. This one came intact but as soon as I started pressing and using the toggle switch it broke again! Also, the rope is a very cheap nylon junk that snags and breaks easily with velcro. See attached picture of the broken switch and frayed wire. It's almost straight out of the box and the cord is already frayed! If I were a Garmin I would be embarrassed selling a product with such cheap crappy materials! The product is still usable and the strap and clip work well. The clip for the GPS module hardly protrudes on the back and holds the module quite firmly to the backpack's strap. I put the strap on my backpack through the backpack's chest buckle to keep it from slipping off the backpack. I also have the best cable on the GPS that I wear around my neck. I'll just remove the leash from this item or replace the toggle switch with a better one. But it's really frustrating when you open a brand new item and it breaks within seconds.
