The biggest problem is that it can't write to recordable DVD media. The drive doesn't even recognize blank media. I've tried DVD+R, DVD-R and DVD+RW. It will be burned to CD. There are many other drives that burn both CDs and DVDs for the same price, so why bother? It also vibrates heavily and makes a very loud noise when reading discs. It reads, but much louder than any other external USB CD/DVD drive I've ever used. Despite the rubber performance, it vibrated so violently that it slowly slid across the tabletop as far as the USB cable would allow. When I unpacked it for the first time, the first impression was very good. He was of a certain weight, indicating he was well built (but not strong enough to be carried around). The USB cable is conveniently tucked away on the bottom of the drive so you don't lose it. But with the above problems, I cannot recommend this disc. When
