So, we got the new blades and today was the first day of "trying out" these blades. If you're cutting a rock, you already know that what matters isn't how well they start cutting, but how long they keep cutting, smoothly and without calling out the 300-pound gorilla of your inner caveman. Well, at the end of the first day it was about 70-80. 14 inch slots were cut through the 1 1/2 inch concrete block top caps for the landscape wall blocks. Result? They also cut very well. There should be some degradation and loss in performance and cutting speed, but that's not enough to comment on. I plan to come back and update my review when I get back to slicing, but for a while my full attention has been on the new cedar shakes in our gallery building. In its current form, it could well be a cheap Econo blade. The diamond blades, which cost me twice as much, weren't as good.
