I've seen several reports of these bits breaking. I don't know the level of experience of the reviewers who said these bits break easily, but I'm just learning CNC. For a while I had a project to mill a 1911 9mm slide. I bought a Rock Island slide off ebay to try. These are hardened steel rails (not stainless steel). I tried some other beats I bought on Amazon. I burned two bits before buying them. I use the same speed, depth per pass and RPM on my mini router that has been converted to a CNC port. This bit eats metal. I definitely do very slow passes and very shallow depth per pass. But it works and I couldn't be happier. With the same settings and material, I have to assume this is simply a better end mill than the other end mills I've bought off Amazon. I will buy more :)
