Whoosh and growls!: Parts

I installed this in my 2012 Ford Focus Titanium mainly because I wanted more power. (I wanted a Focus ST, but my wife "can't drive a stick", that's the closest thing to a Focus). It makes a HUGE difference in sound. He whistles and growls; literally. Under the hood, the car sounded like a race car. When starting up to approx. 3500 rpm and when pressing, the noise is very hoarse and you can hear the filter whistling when the air is sucked in. Very cool. Installation was pretty easy. The only problem was connecting one of the connector hoses to the stock MAF, which you move as part of the setup. It was really hard, but I did it without rushing. MAF hosting is plasticky so be patient! Overall the installation took about 75 minutes and the longest part was installing the final heat shield as you will have to move and reinstall the hood latch. Not a big problem, but it was difficult. If you don't want the extra noise in the cockpit, especially on takeoff and when you throw the hammer, then this isn't for you. Note: I should note that at cruising speed it's not very loud. But if you want it to sound more aggressive and add some power and response then I would recommend it.
