Purchased to replace a broken gas cap on a 2003 Ford Explorer Sport Trac. The check engine light came on regularly, caused by the environmental protection function of the truck. This hat fits nice and tight and the light hasn't come on since. The only downside is that it can't be attached to the truck, so you'll have to remember to put it somewhere so you don't forget to put it back on (a minor problem for most).
