I was able to use BNTECHGO 12 gauge silicone wire with it. However, this requires the use of a drill to widen the hole slightly where the wire runs. I used the drill bit I had in my hand to increase the diameter of the hole. No need to insert a drill into a drill. If the metal connector gets hot while soldering, the red tip will come off. In some cases this can be corrected by simply pressing the tip back onto the part with needle nose pliers. The red tip does not twist. Pushing back seems to work better. If you have heatsinks soldered this will probably help.
