Can use 12 gauge wire

I was able to use BNTECHGO 12 gauge silicone wire with it. However, this requires the use of a drill to widen the hole slightly where the wire runs. I used the drill bit I had in my hand to increase the diameter of the hole. No need to insert a drill into a drill. If the metal connector gets hot while soldering, the red tip will come off. In some cases this can be corrected by simply pressing the tip back onto the part with needle nose pliers. The red tip does not twist. Pushing back seems to…

Easy to connect once you learn how to fill voids with solder.

I used AWG 18 stranded wire; The spring-loaded hooks on the other end couldn't handle anything thicker. However, these connectors require a much thicker wire. 14 AWG might be easier to solder than the thinner 18 gauge wire I had to use. After tinning the ends, I stuck them through the inner pins (there is a cavity). My venerable Weller soldering station had to get pretty hot to get the contacts hot enough to fuse the test lead, pin and solder into a solid connection. After assembling the three…

Bottom line, I love them

I love the banana plugs with extra connection and silicone coating, but I don't like the price -made ones. So I ordered these ends and BNTECHGO 18 gauge silicone wire and made my own for over half the cost of pre-made ones. Even better, I made them for my specific needs and length. In addition to flux and a cheap digital pen soldering iron I bought here at Revain, I use a 60/40 rosin lead soldier. The results were nothing short of amazing the first time. I haven't played with it, I cranked it…
