Review on πŸš— Optimize Vehicle Safety with S.U.R. and R Auto Parts Brake Line Replacement Kit" by Chad Young

many different fittings

I expected "this kit has everything I need for my job". Lots and lots of different fittings, but only a few of each. When replacing some lines on a 10 year old Subaru, I quickly used up the metric fittings and had to find new ones to finish the job. I believe there were 4 fittings, use two to run a line. The brake pipe is easy to shape which makes my work look professional. Other tools you will need are bending pliers to make tight curves, but for a general shape you can do it by hand. For sharp bends near the power rail and near the fittings you will need bending pliers. You should also have a pipe crimper on the end, the style depends on the vehicle - I used a bubble crimp. The unique labeling for each of the little boxes of hardware made it easy to get to my local high-end shop to get the hardware I needed, so it was worth knowing! This would be a great kit for any workshop to help them troubleshoot the next door brake line problem that comes up.
