I used this to cut store bought granite countertops to size. I removed 1 to 4 inches of material, so I started with a cut-off wheel to remove most of it to get closer to the desired width. I then used this disc to align the edges and get closer to the final cut line. .This disc removes a lot of material quickly so I used it for this purpose only and used a cut-off wheel with diamond abrasive on the side of the disc for fine grinding. This cutter glides smoothly over material and does a good job of removing material quickly with each pass. This was invaluable for aligning the freshly cut pages with the top surface, especially at the open ends.
