I had no problems installing it. They are difficult to remove, you have to move them up and down with the tap open. I actually used the replacement FIRST and then the original that came with the faucet kit SECOND because people claimed it wasn't the same. I compared them before installation and they are identical. It is difficult to remove because of the vacuum created. Installation is also a little tricky as you try to recreate a vacuum and then rotate. It is better to keep the faucet open and shut off the water going there. There will be some water splashing when you take it off the holder.
