Easy removal. Easy installation.

No water shut off etc. 1) Just 1/4 turn and a quick down arrow and voila! The old filter is removed. 2) Replace the battery. 3) Insert the new filter and rotate it 1/4 turn. 4) Turn on the water for a few minutes. Did. Light. I'm not sure why others are having trouble. Edit: I have purchased several of these Moen filters and have been happy with each one. I don't trust generic alternatives. More effort, but worth it.

The filter is such that the old plastic has rotted away

The filter turned out to be damaged but it looks like the damage was caused by dry rot (didn't know plastic could do that). The plastic bracket that holds the all-important O-ring literally fell apart when the box was opened. As I picked up the pieces, they began to crumble into dust. I know this water filtration system is old, but filters of this age should not be sold. This product appeared to be expired and/or in very poor condition before it was shipped to the customer.

It is better to keep the faucet open and the water turned off.

I had no problems installing it. They are difficult to remove, you have to move them up and down with the tap open. I actually used the replacement FIRST and then the original that came with the faucet kit SECOND because people claimed it wasn't the same. I compared them before installation and they are identical. It is difficult to remove because of the vacuum created. Installation is also a little tricky as you try to recreate a vacuum and then rotate. It is better to keep the faucet open and

It's way better than lugging home plastic water bottles.

These filters remove every hint of chlorine in my kitchen tap water. I smell chlorine every time I open a faucet without a filter. I can't drink most restaurant water because of the chlorine smell as my nose is too sensitive. So I am very happy with my tap water. I use this filtered water for cooking, drinking water, ice trays, tea and coffee. So happy I don't have to carry water home. A beautiful faucet with a Moen filter was installed in the kitchen sink and went well with these filters. It…

Perfect OEM replacement. No guesswork

Revain's price is light years better than the local plumbing supplier. This is an original product from the original manufacturer and not a counterfeit. During installation I found that the instructions are not the easiest. Shut off the water supply to the filter, and then open the drain to relieve internal pressure. Remove the old one by simply unscrewing it. Purchase potable silicone grease and apply to the o-ring, then install the new block. Enter easily. By following the instructions and…

  • So far so good

This is a filter that fits my Moen spout so I have to use this one but it is TERRIBLE to take out the used one and put in the new one. I wasn't able to do it myself and it literally took my son-in-law or friend at least half an hour to try to get it out and then try to put a new one in - it should be easy to do something like this on fridges , but it's really DIFFICULT - there's a third one now and none came off easily. The water tastes great and works well - you only need Moen to make a model…

How can I return these defective items? After two filters were installed and both filters were not filtering the water, the water pressure was so low that they seemed like they had been in use for 5-6 months, the water just leaked out. I don't know if this is because the production and manufacturing in China on this product is a malfunction in operation. If Revain purchased these faulty products I suggest that you return all of these filters and contact me so I can ship you all three faulty…

Make a bracket for convenience

I read most of the reviews before ordering this filter so I knew there was a problem when trying to put the filter in to install the bracket. I couldn't find it anywhere so I decided to give it a try. Delivery was quick and the price was pretty good. I shut off the water and vented the line prior to installation. I had the same problem trying to install and repair a new filter. It's so tight it won't stay in place. I tried rocking, twisting and wedging myself in such a way that I knocked off…

Good filter but tricky to install

Our new home had a Moen aquasuite 77200 faucet near the kitchen sink and this filter was installed by the contractor. After 6 months, when it was time to change the filter, I ordered online from Revain. The package arrived in 2 days as I am the main supplier. The filter works well, the water with this filter tastes good. There are no problems with the quality of the filter. installation problem. It is almost impossible to screw the filter onto the threads of the filter holder and water supply…

Replacing the filter can be a problem

I bought a Moen S5500 filtration system in late Spring 2016. This check refers to the first filter change. The Moen system and all my faucets were installed by a professional, so changing the filter was the first time I had to mess with it. Removing the filter wasn't easy; I found that I could pry it off by taking a flathead screwdriver and wedging it between the top of the filter and the bracket. I couldn't get a replacement after spending a ridiculous amount trying. I installed the filter…
