Made in China isn't such a bad thing. I've paid big bucks for Japanese VG-10 Damascus knives and they've lasted forever. I knew from these knives that there was no way I could get 3 top quality knives for less than $120. I needed a pair of knives because my old one wasn't that good and I just put it off and I've always liked 8 inch chef's knives. However, I am shocked by the quality of these knives. They're razor sharp, and I mean that because the Jourmet 3PC Damascus knives are sharp enough to shave hair off my arm. everything, and it's actually a joy to use/handle. This is an excellent knife set that far exceeded my expectations and I have used it every day since it arrived.
