My '05 Mustang OEM Motorcraft TPS sensor failed after a trip to the car wash due to moisture damage, which led to the brilliant idea of power washing under the hood of my car. Originally replaced with a BWD branded TPS sensor as it was available at my local Advance Auto same day. Although the non-proprietary part was good enough to get the car running, I could tell straight away that the idle was rough and the next evening on light acceleration on flat terrain the car stalled completely. I suspect it was the new, cheaper than OEM sensor. Finally yesterday I replaced a BWD brand TPS with this Motorcraft TPS from Revain and my Mustang is back to its good, normal idle with no signs of stalling or hesitation on the throttle. This has been my preference before, but I will now always replace engine and/or exhaust related OEM sensors with Motorcraft sensors only. Thanks Revain for the best price I could find!
