I bought these to replace my old 9 speed Dura Ace shifters. This is the second time my front (left) shifter has failed and I didn't want to spend hundreds to replace it so I took a chance. I think the most important thing to know is that they don't change in the same way. You only have one lever (not the smaller lever you push to jump to the smaller ring). You need to get into the habit of tapping twice to go to the larger ring and once to go to the smaller ring. But once you get used to them, they're really good. I've only ridden them a few hundred kilometers, but I actually like them better so far. The shifter cables come out differently so you can hide them under the bar tape along with the brake cables for a very neat look, and they cost less than a quarter the price of the Ultegra!
