I mowed two acres of field grass in southern Arizona infested with invasive mesquite, which is low spreading and has huge spines. I've been suffering from constantly leaking tires and dry, rotten sidewalls for years. These tires fit the mower driver just like stock tires on my Craftsman 42, and now I'm laughing at mesquites. Cons: (1) They're more expensive than pneumatics, but not having to constantly remove lugs, add goops, or add air is more than worth the extra cost. (2) They are slightly stiffer than pneumatics, allowing for a rougher ride and making cornering in deep sand or gravel a bit more difficult. (3) They come with bushings, not bearings, meaning the bushing only rolls on the front axle, metal on metal. I've put lots of grease on the axle and no problems so far, although I would prefer real bearings or at least a Zerk to inject more grease. As before, I have to jack up the front end, remove the tires and hand-lube the wishbone. A five-minute op once or twice a season, so no big deal. (4) Rear tire (10x20) not for sale; If they were, I would buy them too. All in all a huge improvement over the pneumatic and I will never go back. Highly recommended! Four stars because they don't have bearings or grease fittings, but otherwise fantastic. Full Disclosure: The company sells additional bearings for about 12:50 each if you really need the bearings.
