What I initially thought was just a great price for this tensioner for my Volkswagen turned out to be very high "German" quality? part done. I didn't know that Gates makes spare parts in Germany. The last thing I knew was an American company that makes high quality power transmission belts and has been around for years. Not only was it made in Germany, but the price was surprisingly cheap. If I had to compare it to a dealer part this would be just as good and half the price. A very satisfied customer and I can only recommend it!
