This finger guide set is not fake. This is the real deal! I bought this set to replace the quick start guide for my current DeWalt set after it had worn out completely after over 3 years of heavy use. The good thing about this range is that it also includes a longer guide - very handy for accessing fasteners in deep recesses. All the short bits are included but I can still use a 2" bit and the slider holds the clasp with no problem. The slip-lock body is solid, but it doesn't hold the long drive rail - a major design flaw and my "only reason" for the 4-star rating. My quick fix was to wrap a small piece of Velcro (a common "box store" item) around the long rail on the outside of the case. When packing, place the mount against the rubber slide closure to prevent slipping. It ties everything together and is easily accessible. Also, I sometimes wipe the metal guide rods several times with a used candle. The wax keeps the slide free of residue and in perfect condition. Bits are common and wear out like others with use. However, washer guides are quality items and should be up to the task. I ignored the issue of storing the manual and just bought 2 more sets as unique gifts.
