The plastic for the rear dual harness connection is not as hard as the OEM, but where the lock cylinder slides it is ok. This is a good inexpensive replacement to solve the ignition starter failure problem on my 2003 Pontiac Grand AM. Symptoms that led to the replacement included: no power to dash when headlights were not on, no power to windows, no power to HVAC (fan, controls, etc.)
