My problem has been solved. If the switch fails, everything stops working and it looks like other problems. Easy to fix.

Same rating as the ignition switch I bought to fix a problem I thought was safety related. The item is installed and works great. Excellent price.

No problem, plugged right into a 2003 Malibu, I highly recommend replacing this part when changing the key cylinder, this part has internal contacts and they definitely accumulate carbon deposits, and a little spring tension on the contacts.

Direct replacement for the original but the key is difficult to turn, maybe a little stiff because it's new? A worn lock cylinder has caught on the part where the key fits. After disassembling and replacing everything, it works great now.

Damn. Tried everything to find the cause of the intermittent startup error. The engine turned normally, but the fuel pump did not work. Many forums later led me to the infamous GM ignition switch problems. There are thousands upon thousands of them. Nothing, it wasn't very difficult to fix (instrument cluster and radio removed). We received an absolutely reliable car in a very short time. Price and delivery time were great.

The plastic for the rear dual harness connection is not as hard as the OEM, but where the lock cylinder slides it is ok. This is a good inexpensive replacement to solve the ignition starter failure problem on my 2003 Pontiac Grand AM. Symptoms that led to the replacement included: no power to dash when headlights were not on, no power to windows, no power to HVAC (fan, controls, etc.)
