When I opened the flashlight to insert the batteries I was amazed at how light it is overall - very light. When I tried to put the first battery in, it didn't go in properly because the spring holding the battery was so weak that it would break if bent down. I had to bend it to a semblance of its original shape in order to insert the battery. As I tried this the components started falling apart, the light element just fell out and hit the upholstery of my chair! He had nothing to do with that! He just rested in the light box. That annoyed me a lot. I found the item and after some effort put it back into the slot. I then inserted all the batteries without bending the other springs. I have serious doubts about the durability of this product. Can you say CHEAP? I guess we get what we pay for. It works (so far). I wasn't impressed with the quality of the light but I will hold my breath. The whole apparatus seems to be doomed at the next impact. This is not a durable device. Very light and cheap components - Americans expect something heavy. That's not it. Note: A pedestrian hit my traffic light today. The cheap plastic fell apart. The components are scattered on the floor. I tried to reassemble it. Suffice it to say that this crappy product doesn't work anymore. We get what we pay for. Avoid this product!
