Update November 19, 2013 My jeep is at a workshop with a highly rated mechanic. He also now says it's the fuel pump. As it has been a little over 90 days since I bought the pump I now have no fuel pump and no job. I tirelessly searched why my whining, as can be heard on the video, continues. After searching the internet I went back to another mechanic who replaced my fuel filter about 5,000 miles ago. The fuel filter should be changed every 30,000 km. The filter was kindly changed. Once they did that, the noise was gone. The owner told me that he had never seen a fuel filter fail during the warranty period or that the fuel filter made the noise that a failed fuel pump would make. Video. I've read on other websites and found that it's important to change the fuel module and fuel filter at the same time. In any case, my fuel filter is under warranty and I will not be charged anything. I am very happy with the Delphi FG0918 fuel module and it works well. I will update this review in six months or a year. ___________________________________________ Noet for more than two years After spending $160 on a fuel module and about $300 on the installation I ended up with a whiny fuel pump. This video shows the exterior of the car. An almost continuous high frequency screeching can be heard inside the car which is absolutely frustrating and extremely annoying. Even if I could get a replacement, it would still cost me another $300 to install. A mechanic friend of mine recommended it to Bosch. I should have listened to my intuition and bought a Bosch. It was purchased for a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The gas filter has also been renewed. The noise can be heard when the jeep is not driving but the key is turned to the on position.
