I don't know everything about security cameras and haven't owned this camera for a long time, but I am very impressed with the quality, versatility and functionality of this camera system. It's truly wireless. My leaps of 50 feet crossed my driveway. It perfectly shows my way and my house. I have it so I can keep an eye on the house when I travel. Its features are too many to list, but a few that I really like are the ability to get sound along with video and the ability to zoom in on the lens. The camera and mount appear to be very well made and feel solid, but time will tell. A few notes: you can see in the first picture that the screws that came with it were too long to attach the mount to the camera. It doesn't matter as I added shims to take up space but shims should have been provided. I had to buy longer mounting screws to attach it to wood, but you can't expect the manufacturer to provide screws. for all editing situations - When I first tried to set up and test the camera in my living room, I couldn't get the video to work. As it turned out, I could not install the antennas, after installing them correctly, the video appeared immediately. Finally, make sure the antennas are up. My camera is mounted on a tree from which a lot of debris falls. This means that the solar panel needs regular cleaning to keep the battery charged. This point probably applies wherever you install it. So keep cleanliness in mind when choosing where to install it. I highly recommend this system. UPDATE: This camera also records video. You can see what it wrote on the TF card. Entries are date and time stamped so you can navigate through them quickly.
