Works great if you know how to connect it.
I used this to replace the switch that came with my Harbor Freight (Badland) 5000 lb winch. Installed in the crew of a 2014 Polaris Ranger 800. I installed it to the left of the steering wheel so I can stand out of the car and look at the winch cable as it comes in to avoid pulling it over the fairlead (I think that's called a cable/hook). One of the pictures has instructions on how to replace the 3-wire switch that came with the winch with this 7-pin snap-action switch.
