, I'm tired of turning on my Samsung S7 over and over again when I try to charge it with regular USB car chargers. This thing charges my phone from 0% in about an hour. As others have pointed out, it doesn't turn on automatically and requires you to press the power button after plugging it in. I wanted to permanently mount mine in an inconspicuous spot on my dash and connect it to my car's drop line. I couldn't do that with this power quirk, so I decided to change it. I opened mine and found the transistor that controls the on/off function and just bypassed it to keep it on. This is covered in more detail by another reviewer. While I was there, I noticed that each of the QC3's ports have independent regulators, meaning they generate their own power for each port rather than using a single power supply. This ensures that no matter how many devices you connect, they will charge as quickly as one.
