ASUS tech support can generally be pretty good, but there's a bug in the chat software that redirects the sound card question to laptop agents. You can only reach the sound card agent if you ask the supervisor. When I finally got to the agent, I saw a two-minute clock ticking over their heads. They kept telling me to check something on the computer (e.g. reinstall the map) and find that the agent had been gone for a long time. I tried three different tasks. The last agent said to mail it back to Revane. I asked for an RMA and the representative didn't seem to understand the Return Materials Authorization. The problem with the card was that it couldn't handle streaming audio. Every two seconds, the audio playback stops for ten seconds. I doubt there is anything wrong with the card. There's probably a simple explanation for the problem, but I don't seem to be having any luck with these agents. So I'm sending them back and trying a different card, a different manufacturer. annoys.
