We hung a 21 foot Small Giant Skyscraper on these hooks. You have no problem with the weight of the stairs. The hooks themselves are decent quality - rubber coated hooks with a metal mount (aluminum or other metal pot I think). The only thing that bothers me is the mounting hardware. They come with a hybrid piece for drywall and wood. That's probably enough, but I ended up using some 3" wood screws instead of the hardware that came with the kit to attach the hooks. Most of this hardware comes with a drywall anchor and a screw that fits into the anchor; I would like that with this product too. As a plus (maybe?), the orange hooks go really well with the orange little giant. So if you're worried about color matching your stairs, you've got this. for you.Edited April 2016: I bought another set to hang another small giant ladder. As always, bring another strong screw or mounting kit and you'll be fine; Self tapping screws that come with the solution not so good to be honest. I have attached some photos of these ladders installed and hanging from them. Note that the top screw is a significantly heavier 3/8" hex head screw. There are no complaints, except for the poor quality of the mounting screws.
