I bought this as an extra DVD drive for my laptop. This disc is very light, which is great. Once connected, the drive was quickly recognized. Additional energy is not required. All via a USB cable. The connection is very tight and doesn't accidentally come loose, which is great. As shown, it has a USB 3.0 port and a USB C port, making it ideal for almost any laptop and operating system. I immediately tested it with film and it worked well. The only problem is that the cable is very short. I would wish for a cord that was at least twice as long. If you move your laptop at all, the drive will shrink as well. Also make sure the drive is stable during use. In general, just be respectful of the drive. Overall I'm very satisfied, even though it's literally the size of a DVD tray. It fits perfectly in my laptop bag. I really like such compact devices because they are easy to carry, but they have great functionality.
