Review on Mixpresso Gooseneck Pour Over Coffee Kettle: Barista-Designed, Stainless Steel, 1.2L Size (40 OZ) for Induction Cookers and Stovetop Use by Alison Herrier

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Water flows through the gooseneck!

that needed to replace my old gooseneck kettle recently and I chose Mixpresso as the price seemed very good. I was very happy to use it the first day I got it and found that I can't see when the water is boiling because the lid with tiny holes for steam burns my fingers when trying to check whether my water is ready :(so I decided to use a lid from my old kettle which was visible through the glass (works much better by the way) than the next day I put the water on to make fresh morning coffee and to my surprise, when it started to boil, the water started overflowing all over my gas stove, even though the kettle is a gooseneck! Terrible! The second water starts to boil, it comes out through its gooseneck! I tried pouring less water, started boiling a new pot of course and tried both lids - the original one and my old one and unfortunately all the water spilled over my stove again, never mind whether I filled the kettle full, half or just a little! necks popping out boiling water) Not sure I'm happy with my otherwise nice looking gooseneck mixpresso kettle :(
