The main disadvantage is that some slides in the kit are not as light and smooth as others. I had to make sure the 2 I installed on the shelf required the same force or else they would pull or close at an angle. In general, they are much cheaper than store-bought and very similar. Worked well for a cheap dresser I was renovating.
