Not a bad little tool for the casual mechanic. I brought heads back to my Suburban and needed a torque meter for the head bolts. With the engine in the vehicle, the tool was very difficult to use due to the lack of space and the odd angle I was at. Other than that, the tool is easy to use and can't be a downside for the price. For the casual mechanic, this will do just about any job you can have. The set screw would be much more secure if it and the body were quality steel, but then it wouldn't be as cheap (about $12 when I bought it). I've found that it works best when the long leg of the tilt rod is as close directly to the dial as possible and resting on a hard surface like another cap screw, rocker arm bolt, or cap screw. This also works if you just hold the barbell at an angle, but you need to have very steady hands. The only downside I found was the fact that the transparent disk with the display on it is larger than the base of the sensor. It hangs in tight places and the turn signal gets stuck. If the base was larger than the blank, it wouldn't be a problem.
