My old ice tea machine lasted ten years. This thing was such rubbish that when I looked up my purchase to write this review I assumed it was a lot older than it really was. So here are the questions; one). The peak covering the steeper one literally didn't close2). The glass jug is not easy to clean. I literally had to wipe it down after use. I have never seen a glass container with liquid tea on the surface. 3). Once the pitcher broke on the bottom after I added ice. In any case, I'm pretty sure the pitcher isn't the high quality glass used in those situations and I'm a little concerned that it wasn't even good for eating. . Save money and get another iced coffee maker.
