I originally bought an 18 inch curved head scraper. It fits perfectly in the bottom 1/3 of my 24" x 24" x 60" 180g acrylic tank. The tilting head makes it much easier to maintain a good scraping angle on the bottom of the tank BUT when used in the top 2/. 3 of the tank the angle becomes blunt for good scraping. For the top 2/3 of the tank a non-angled head works much better. The problem is that 10" is too short and 28" is too long. Luckily the red handles slide all the way easy off the shelf so you can cut the stick to the size that works best for you and your aquarium so I am ordering a 28" no slope scraper now and will cut it to a manageable size when it arrives .between the angled and straight heads i'll be able to scrape green dotted algae off the walls my acrylic aquarium much easier than before.while it's still not a fun job but at least it's significantly easier.a steel blade on e in a hard patch of green algae.
