I can only say of the Amana 90 degree V bit I've been working for about a year it was a test bit so finally I decided to trying this 45 degree bit nozzle and had only started it twice and both times the so called carbide insert broke off when the first insert failed and I have to be honest the service and delivery time was great not so much the second time . The insert failed like the first so I called the seller again and this time not so good, I truly believe this was the greatest run I have ever received. I think I spoke to the same gentleman and instead of thinking that if two inserts fail in exactly the same way it could very well be part of a bad batch of parts, these things happen naturally rather than taking all the blame for one Recurring problem, it was 100% pilot error, here is the offending part of his answer. You must be doing something wrong. I used material that the chisel wasn't intended for. I wasn't running it at the correct speed or feed rate. I have used it in a machine where this bit should not be used. This went on until I hung up, but now I wish I had because I really wanted to ask why Amana doesn't say that beats can only be used on specific material, I thought Soft Maple would? The drill can only be used at one speed and feed rate. I figured running the drill at 18,000 rpm, .150 depth and 75 ipm feed would be fairly conservative. I think I still have a lot to learn. This rating is for the seller only because I thought the Amana bits were excellent and bragged about them all day. So if you are looking for a quality cutter, you are looking for the perfect manufacturer.
