Bought a used 2011 GMC Acadia. A used car has two problems with the air conditioning on the passenger side. First, the drive that controls the mode (defrost / air / floor) failed and made crunching noises. The air sometimes didn't reach the window. Bought this part and a small 1/4" ratchet + Torx T20 bit (and an additional 1/4" wobbly knee) and was able to take out the glove box and then swap out this part and reassemble. after about 20-25 minutes. Secondly, the drive that controls the mixture of cold and hot air has burned out. Same drill as above, but this part is MUCH harder to access (lower drive unit on the passenger side). Used the same tools, plus needle nose pliers and lots of patience to replace the part. It took a little over 90 minutes to finish. Now life is much better.
