Review on πŸ”§ Solder Wire Sn60 Pb40 YIMIA Tin Lead Alloy Flux Rosin Core: Ideal for Electrical Repair, Soldering, Electronic PCB Welding & DIY Work (0.8mm, 100g) by Kyle Miller

Soldering OK, use 300C+

This works fine and I had no problem resoldering some of the wires on the (used) 15 pin connector. The solder tended to stick together at lower temperatures (or directly when touching a cold wire), but increasing the temperature of my soldering iron from 300C to 325C helped. I will find that at higher temperatures small puffs of smoke would fly off my iron tip when I first touched the solder - I assume I evaporated the flux but I never noticed spatter so I'm not worried. I had no electrical problems and mechanically the connections remained secure.

Pros
  • Welding and Soldering
Cons
  • Crumpled Package
