This pump is serviceable. The threads on the pump body or on the barb fittings are very sloppy. I used both teflon tape and gas oil thread sealant to finally stop the leak and get good suction. I wanted to send it back but had to use it. Pretty loud but not overly so. It pumped engine oil at a rate of 2 gallons per minute. I measured it twice so I could estimate half a gallon over time since I don't have a meter for that. It looks well built. When pumping 15x40 engine oil at 65-70 degrees, it did not load. It arrived on time and in new condition.
